Our Story

Boody was created in Sydney, Australia by two friends. We combined our backgrounds in fashion and pharmacy and founded an eco-business that makes skin friendly, bamboo basics while treading as lightly as possible on the earth (the benefits of bamboo are well documented, read about them here).

Mission

Our mission is to create a growing range of superbly comfortable garments that are simple but stylish, extraordinarily soft but practical and made from materials that are in greater harmony with the earth.

At Boody, we source the best quality organic bamboo viscose and our in-house fashion designers ensure that both our basic and baby ranges deliver superb comfort and have perfect drape and fit.

We continually strive to design new and innovative everyday essentials to meet the needs of our environmentally aware and health conscious customers who enjoy affordable luxury that "doesn't cost the earth".

Boody - born in Australia, now loved globally.

Benefits of Bamboo

At Boody, we’ve learned that bamboo is a miracle fibre. Naturally eco-friendly, wonderful to wear, resilient, superbly soft and healthy for even the most sensitive skin – in our opinion it outruns all traditional and new fibres, natural and synthetic. That’s why we’re so proud of the Boody range.

Grown organically

No pesticides. No insecticides. No fertilisers.

Grown without artificial irrigation

Producing commercial harvests of bamboo requires only rainwater. What’s more, all water used in the production process is recycled and re-used.

Improving air quality

Bamboo plantations produce 30% more oxygen than an equivalent area of trees and absorb more carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases.

Fast growing, regenerating

The fastest growing woody plant in the world, some species of bamboo shoot up as much as one metre a day! New stems are able to be harvested again and again.
